I have a large planted tank currently housing 6 bronze corys ,6 peppered, 3yoyo loaches and a SAE. PLUS10 cardinal tetras. 60gallon tank ,265 lts approx. L=40” xH 26”xW16”. 99x65x41. Lots of plants hiding places etc. Ext filter, varied diet ,25% water change per week.i know of 12 bronze cories kept in cramped ,poor conditions which i can buy to get them away.they look healthy but thin and i would quarantine them.cory experts please advise me,is my tank large enough to accomodate these extra 12cories,if push came to shove i could relocate the cardinals in another tank but would prefer to keep this tank with them in.it is a thriving community tank and if you think that space is not a problem i will give these cories a new caring home .please advise and thank you.

According to AqAdviser you are currently at 90% stocking capacity: https://aqadvisor.com

So adding at the additional 12 Bronze Cory's would take you to 114% stocking capacity: https://aqadvisor.com

That said, if your tank is heavily planted and well filtered, with plenty of surface agitation for good gas exchange, I would say go for it on the basis that you can offer the new fish a much better quality of life than their current poor conditions.

I think you’ll be fine with the additional corydoras, just make sure you quarantine them for a good month or so and maybe worm them if they don’t seem to be putting on any weight in that time.

cheers
