Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum so sorry if I do anything wrong!Anyway, I need help choosing appropriate lighting for my soon to be 60l planted tank. My tank will have an external filter and diy C02 system which I think will be adiquate for my reasonably small tank. I'm hoping to grow Dwarf hair grass and staurogyne repens are reasonably light hungry carpet plants and am not sure what lighting to have. I'm 14 years old so don't have much money to spare! Im thinking of replacing my,dead T8 15 watt tube for a 24 watt T8 grow light that i will keep on for 12 hours a day. My tank dimensions are 60cmX30cm.Any help will be much appreciated, Thanks.

Hi Joe

Your carpet plants arent really very demanding in terms of lighting. Obviously with higher lighting youll get faster growth as long as your co2 is increased and ferts upped to compensate for the light.

I'll gladly let you have an led unit for it for what you can afford mate
