Help Installing Hydor ETH 300

This may sound a bit daft but I'm having issues installing my hydor external heater. I'm having issues connecting the tubing to the unit...

Can anyone walk me through this? Am I meant to take the blue faster off, slide up the filter tubing then back down once tubing is attached to the unit then tighten on to the thread? As this doesn't work, the faster wont get past the tubing (AE clear 16mm)...

...Can anyone help me!?

no, you leave the blue bit on and tighten it against the tube once you have pushed it on.

Cheers chap, I did try that but it didn't seem to sit very well... Probably just me being my normal paranoid self!?

did you dip the end of the tube in a mug of hot water first? helps a lot as the tube is then more pliable adn worked great on mine

Just be cautious that when you screw down the blue part, that it doesn't push the silicone hose out of the way, instead of making a proper seal

That I didn't do Stu.. I bought mine second hand from ebay with no instructions. I will do this for sure, cheers
