look an awful lot like neocaridina shrimp to me.
Thats ok I created this thread minutes before purchasing them, just in case if they would have turned out to be caradina I wouldn't have bought. They are the same species, just a different colour morph. I've also edited the title of your thread. It's not urgent, as in a matter of life of death of livestock.
Pretty sure they are Blue Dream neocaridina but there's alot of cross over with the darker blues. the table below shows the most popular lines. Can you bank me identity these shrimps? I hope they are non caradino shrimps? Though my tanks is stable but I don’t want to end up buying sensitive caradino shrimps
Yep.Thank you are they as hardy as cherry shrimp
Its common behavior, I have neocaridina in all of my tank and there's a couple of shrimp doing this at any given time. Pretty sure its just grazing on the algae/biofilm on the plants roots or there maybe a small food particle trapped against the plants. He is trying to stay on the top holding the roots of duckweed. Is this shrimp injured or is it a common behavior of some shrimps in a new tank?
Not sure about angelfish as I don't keep them but I keep a ton of nano fish ad don't have any major problems.Thank you. So that brings to my next question. Is it safe to introduce shrimps in a tank that has a bunch of nano fishes, and 2 baby angel fish? That tank has plenty of plants and hiding space
I wouldn’t worry about nano fish either. I have cherry barbs and glow lights tetra in my shrimp tank and their size is more or less the same as these shrimps. In fact some of my Amano shrimp are bigger than these nano fishes. My other tank where I have 2 baby angle fishes. They are 1 inch in length and height. I never saw them disturbing nano fishes in that tank. But predator instinct is in their blood so I don’t know what they can do if I introduce shrimp in that tankNot sure about angelfish as I don't keep them but I keep a ton of nano fish ad don't have any major problems.
