Jim Bennett, Vermont USA. Studied botany many years ago, but it all laid dormant for 40+ years whilst I was busy doing other things. In retirement, I help oversee a local municipal park, including a small lake with several rare and uncommon pondweeds, including a one-of-a-kind hybrid (P. zosteriformis X P. foliosus). As such, I've been catching up on 40 years of discoveries and studying the Potamogeton genus, particularly the linear-leaved species as well as broader topics such as hydrophily, aquatic ecosystems in general and systematics - primarily in the context of northeastern North America.
