Thanks it was an experiment with cuttings from my tank, left over bits ,and the plants all converted to emersed growth , only down side is the light in the winter now it could really use a light , but still alive.
I want to do something on my windowsill but it's south west facing so would end up as veg soup!!

Thanks, I was lucky 4 pieces and they sort of just went and slotted in together, and new I didn’t need to try again
I mean some low plants might grow I’ve grown some spider plants etc on book shelf no light and you can add from that , even Java fern and buce have grown without a light on a shelf decoration I done . If you can get cuttings worth a try as not wasting anything . I even used top soil and compost on the first just as I had some to see if it grew, emersed only no algae .
