Hello, absolute complete newbie from fingerlake region of WNY.
Started a tank (flex Fluval 15g) with my twin 6yo daughters about a month ago and it of course is filled with a disney castle and glowing pink and purple plants. Rushed of course being absolutely ignorant and battling typical start up problems. lost 3 glow light tetras to ich. Water params are getting better but I think ich treatment stalled the tank. its been a stressful nightmare.
But
I found a roadside rescue tank (19w x 17d x 22h) ~30g and am looking to do a fully planted and not rush it at all. Just a nice relaxed slow build to eventually add shrimp and maybe some guppies once the shrimp population and plants builds to an acceptable level.
