Hi, I'm Paul, 31 from the Netherlands. As a teenager I already was into tanks and fishes. Last year I saw Amano's style tanks, thought Wow, read a lot and decided to start a 50L scapers tank. I figured the best mix to learn to grow plants, not algae (like before), low investment, low-maintenance was to do:
Low light, easy plants and daily a bit bit of easy Carbo.
Now 2 months old:
2 Amano shrimp and 2 nerite snails. Great creatures! Until now very happy that the tank is clean and plants are growing. Chihiros A series burns 6 hours on setting 2.
Planning to add a group ember tetra in a few weeks and slowly replace the back fast growing plants to a more pretty stem plant.
This forum is the best inspiration and information place for me. Hope to keep improving!
