Hello from Newbury!

Hello aquascapers!

I’m a newbie from Newbury currently running a Juwel Vision 180. Admittedly I’m more into fish than the plants, but I’ve joined the forum as I’ve learned quite a lot on here so far from just reading.

Currently I don’t have a dirted set up, instead I run low tech incorporating a sand substrate and dose TNC Lite liquid plant food as the fish take care of the nitrate and phosphate component along with TNC Liquid Carbon. Lighting is standard Juwel T8.

In future I’d like to upgrade to an Evolution Aqua AS1800.

Nitrate and phosphate dosing won't harm if you have a lot of plants, and even may be needed ( well not if you have one swordplant between 10 discus 😛)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, here is a pic taken about a week ago. The plants haven’t been put in their proper places yet as I’m still figuring out where I want what.... and the shark is in jail till later on today when I can drop him off at my lfs, he’s been a right bully to my emerald cory and only him.
