I have been currently using Experience 150 for a year. The view of the water is big problem. Not clear, full of small items, cloudy and surface film. I am thinking of buying new one different canister because of that I am not satisfied.

See.

What your opinions.

Thanks\!

How big is the tank and what media do you have in it?
Also where is the rest of your skimmer?

54 ltr Eheim, original media two sponge, siporax and media for fine filtering
The rest of the skimmer is out, placed fine sponge to test.
Never had a clear water.

Turnover of that filter is OK, nothing special, so you must ensure you have a clean filter all the time or the flow will reduce quickly. How often do you clean the filter?
Also perform regular water changes until its clear, surface skimmer should help with the biofilm, but you need to see what is causing that, keep on top of maintenance and plant health.

I used to use Classic 150 and Experience 150. Two different models the same problem, not good filtration, never! They have a sponges with large pores which does not make a filtration. water passes freely through the sponge, all dirty items too! Everything my aquarium water was dirty, cloudy, often brown and full with surface bio film. There is not bio cycle because of worst filtration. The good bacteria do not live in this type of sponge. Years before used Eheim Pick up, the sponge of this model is very fine, water everything was a clear, everything!
Тhe engineers Eheim canister did a mistake. In my all experience of aquarium hobby never seen aquarium equipped with Eheim canisters and clear water!

Its my conclusion.

I have an Eheim filter in my Aquascaper 900 and never had any issues with water clarity, I do find the low end Eheim are a little below par with flow, media is important, I do not have Eheim media in my filter, and just have the coarse filter pads, also if you have a filter with low flow, you need to keep it clean and perform maintenance on it often, I clean mine once a month, including cleaning the filter pads (I do not replace them). If you have soil substrate and you mess around with that it will cloud your water, or if you added sand and not washed it, you will need a fine filter pad to clear that and remove it after a week or two as that will clog up quicker and reduce flow.
Regular water changes are key when you have issues, and try to not disturb the substrate too often, or a lot of it at the same time.
