Hi Everyone
I have lots of algae accumulating over everything (including the glass). Before I start looking into any corrective action, I need a bit of help on identifying what it is. After a bit of searching, I’ve found two potential candidates (or I could be completely wrong 😀).
It’s mostly brown in colour, it seems to ‘cling’ onto debris that float into it, it’s extremely easy to rub off (with the exception of the moss).
1. Size of tank in litres - 200
2. Age of the set - 3 weeks
3. Filtration - Fluval 307
4. Lighting and duration - Aquael Leggy 14w x2 (8 hours a day (2 in morning, 6 at night))
5. Substrate - Tripica Soil and Sand
6. Co2 dosing or Non-dosing - none
7. Fertilizers used & Ratios - TNC complete (2ml daily) & Easy Carbo (2ml daily)
8. Water change regime and type - every 3 days at 30% since starting
9. Plant list + When planted - quite a variety (see pictures), most planted 3 weeks ago
10. Drop Checker - no
11. Inhabitants - no
12. Full tank image & Surface image:
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
