growing rotala macrandra

This in my experience is a slow to moderate grower. Clearly loves the strong intense light. Not a plant to self propagate fast enough for some growers.

Give it what you've got and see how it does for you.
 
I agree that it's a slow grower.
They usually turn up in a sorry state after the supplier.
Your tank specs are up for the challenge though. You have what you will need.
 
i found that if i cut it back to about 4 inches it grew thick and fast and don't forget to replant the tops
 
thanks for the info guy,read some posts,saying not to plant to closely together,not inoth light gets to bottom leaves,so iv spead the plants out abit,only planted it about 4 day ago,so its still rooting in,seen some really nice photos of this plant on the net,it can be a orange colour,or a really dark red colour,in perfect conditions :p
