Hi to all of you on UKAPS
I've been lurking for quit a while ( haven't we all🙂 ) and decided to introduce myself.
Last march on the request of my daughter i, after a long break of 6 years, took up the art of fish n plants and bought a small 30 liter tank and set it up with the odd bits of equipment i had left. After a LOT of trial and error and even more lurking than ever i feel that i am on the brink of having a decent na tank. I have to thank you all here for unknowingly through your own adventures and advice having brought me this far. Thank you.
You guys just leave me speechless, beautiful tanks, awe inspiring knowledge.
Here goes nothing.
My Tank:
lights: the freakin sun ( its like having your foot on the throttle but moving it to the melodi of Lady Gaga ra ra.... )
co2: DIY yeast sugar n water in a half liter bottle diffused by my internal filter ( which is a pain in the ... because i have to keep on top of all the time changing every third day Grrr )
Filter: small polish built filter no name ( love it! fits in all kinds of set up and is soo much stronger than it looks Mighy Mouse )
Substrate: sand and tropica soil
ferts: Tropica specialised app. 1.2 ml
plants:
Unknown crypt
Monte Carlo
hygrophila polysperma
java moss
java fern
eleocharis mini
cardamine lyrata
lilaeopsis brasiliensis
rotala sp.green
A week before pic i did a trim where i cut down the hygros and the moss, and trimmed a bit of the mc down.
My dáughter insisted on the coconut 🙁so i needed the moss to try to cover it up.
Sorry for my bad foto skills next thing to work on
By the way does anyone know the crypt in the background?
Regard
Troels
