Hi,
Just wondering does ayone have a picture of their cabinets as it is quite hard to tell from their website what they look like. Thinking of getting one as thet look fairly contemporary.
What do ye think would be better - black or grey with an opti glass tank? :?
Thanks.

Curefan - you're in luck.. Just so happens I have just set one up, and I've started a journal on here with photos. take a look - the thread is linked in my signature. Let me know if you want more details, close ups etc.

Thanks Calzone....you have been more help than you realise. Looks very slick. Im going for a similar setup for a 5 footer and getting it shipped to Ireland. But also paying a trip over to Greenmachine to blow a small fortune!
Cant believe that the scape you are going for is very close to what I have in mind and I bought the same external as you. When I have a bit more time Ill read through your journal with great interest (you can be my guinea pig!).
I think Ill go for that cabinet. Did you happen to see what they look like in black? But yours is probably better!
Nice job and thanks for sharing.
Dave.

.....and I got an Arcadia OT2 4x80W T5 luminaire...........gonna be soooo similar to your setup!

Aww....

Don't know about you, but I figured if I'm going to do it, I'm going to minimise the compromises.....

Great filter, but hugely expensive. and that's before media and replacing the monstrous green attachments.

I never saw the cabinet in the flesh, but it was ADA-like, somewhat reasonably priced relative to my alternative. Plus my curtains are grey, so it fits. A big chunk of black might have been a bit much (though I think the contrast with the green plants and bright tank lights would have been v nice) in my room.

When ordering, worth doing over the phone (you may have to in order to agree delivery which is not offered online), that way you can discuss hole placements for things like electric cables. It comes as standard with hose holes on the sides and the top corners at the back. I got a hole at the bottom left back for the wires as that's where my plug sockets are. Doors are handle free push latches. The finish is pretty good, build quality decent and importantly has not collapsed yet!! Pretty happy with it for the outlay. Delivery was good (though my wife not hugely impressed with the delivery driver, but that's not TGM's fault!) and it was very robustly packaged and insured.
