Hi all,

Recently i've been dealing with what i suspected to be bad plant health due to an oily surface film, so in the past week i've been upping CO2 and have removed a small amount of media to improve flow. I decided to run an air stone last night just to help the breakdown of the film whilst the plants restore to normal health (as well as increased surface agitation) in a bid to improve CO2/O2 transfer but when i came to wipe of the water that had gathered on my lighting this morning it left a green tinge on the towel...

This is now leaving me stumped and unsure on the best way to approach it. Water has a white milky (ish) appearance but nothing too major and is certainly not GWA appearance like i've seen in pictures but having got the green tinge on the towel this morning i want to make sure i'm treating this correctly.

Any ideas/experiences?

As a note, i've seen the other posts on this and none of them appear to match the criteria that i'm dealing with, hence the post...

I'm on EI Dosing/Lighting only at 6 hours 2 T5 39w/full 1 point drop (working on increasing if possible)/180l tank/13x Turnover

Cheers
