can tnc complete cause green algae on glass, since starting to use tnc complete at recommended daily dosage I am getting green spot algae on my glass,is this usual and is there a better alternative please
Nope, algae needs Parts per billion to survive at these levels your plants would really suffer and not grow well at all. I would look elsewhere for the cause.
Increase light intensity or photoperiod length.
Reduced flow in tank - Plant mass reducing flow/ filter needs a good clean/pipes or hoses need a good clean
detritus build up in tank/filter/piping
insufficient water changes
Fluctuating CO2 levels if using CO2.
Add snails !!!!
Plus a bit of GSA and or GDA on the glass is no big deal to clean
