Gill Problem On Rainbow

Hi everyone, Ive noticed one of my rainbows has a problem with one of its gills, there's a white spot at the top and it looks swollen. Ive tried to capture a photo to show what I mean.

Is it treatable or am I going to lose her? Will my other fish catch it as well? Thanks

Is it treatable or am I going to lose her?

I've treated some of the fish successfully and their tumours have shrunk.

Treatment is: "Add 1 milligram of potassium iodine for every gallon of water". You should be able to buy 50g or 100g potassium iodide (KI) from ebay.

I did, but it wasn't a huge tank. Have a look at <"Apistogramma forums: Copella callolepis....">. I thought the thread was on UKAPS, but it is on Apistogramma forums.
