Just found a fully grown Luccipinnis catfish dead wedged head first into one of the outlet nozzles on my FX6.
I suspect he swam in when the filter was doing it's 12 hour purge cycle and got his spines stuck where the nozzle widens into the ball joint.
I've covered both outlets with net.

I am sorry for your loss.
Thank you. It's really annoying. I lost three Luccipinnis in my original Juwel filter as they kept climbing inside.
So I upgraded to the FX6. Oh well. Guess those catfish just like wedging themselves in tiny holes.
There is a little consolation however. The filters have managed to kill 4 Luccipinnis but they also managed to suck in and save 9 fry.
So net gain five fish.
Still blooming annoying though.
Hopefully now I've fixed the problem.
