fluval impeller

hi all,
just a quick question.... has anybody changed the impeller in their external filters and noticed a considerable improvement ?
thinking of doing an overhall on my Fluval 404.. before the big set up of tank.

It all depends how old the filter is, how much its been used etc, but in short yes it can make a noticeable difference hth
