Hi! I'm new to the forum, have been reading for a while, and working on slowly converting my 3 year old aquarium to be more heavily planted. I have had the Fluval Accent internal filter, but am looking at switching to the Fluval G3 or G6, which seem to have a number of happy users here.
Quick question - I'm wondering about whether the G6 would be too strong for a 110 liter planted tank? it's definitely rated for much larger tanks, but it seems a shame to not pay the relatively small differential for the larger size. I'm also wondering about running the extra fine mechanical cartridge on it just to get the water quality as good as possible. But of course don't want the fish to be caught in a whirlwind!
Also wondering if the filters make noise if I was to dial back the flow permanently on the G6.
Any advice or experience would be most appreciated!
