Hi all!

Perhaps I’m gonna replace my JBL E1502 filter with a Fluval FX4 filter. But I don’t like the Fluval hoses in the package. Can I reuse my own 16/22 hoses (plug and play) with no restriction in flow ?

Kind regards
Kevin

Hiya, the fx4 uses 24mm id pipes so your 16/22 pipes won't fit. You could incorporate a reducer to step it down to 16mm but that's going to have an impact on flow and possibly cause long term damage to the filter.
I think @Zeus. Managed to step his fx6 pipes down to 16/22mm but he used a bypass so had no reduction in flow.

Are these parts easily available online anywhere you can link me?

I've got an FX6 in a Roma 240 and if I can get the parts easily, I quite fancy looking at doing something like the above to split into a CO2 diffuser and heater then recombine back up to 1"...
