The question I have is will the plants beneath suffer badly from the shadowing and do you recommend moving once and a while or have any of you got any experience of how to keep the both in harmony? 7EBC0024-2E10-4EDD-96E0-9D53717E0A99_zpswmjaby4w.jpg

Depending on your set up but... most definitely yes! Even those wich we consider as easy ones need light.
Light and Co2 are the engine.
In a planted aquarium i don´t consider this kind of plant as good option.. mostly yes in a Bio.

Hugs

Ok so ideally it needs to be above no plants which Is the centre of the tank. Think that maybe a problem as the water flow seems to push it to the right hand corner

You can try and design a separator to keep them where there are no plants underneath. Do a search around the forum and the web. There are a few tricks. Also if you only have anubias underneath they should be fine and it will protect them from algae.

I was gonna say the bba on the anubias leafs has got allot better since. Will the vallis be ok? I think I'll keep an eye and may re plant the foreground plants On the other side if they show signs they are lacking light
