What is the best way to create good circulation in a larger tank?
I have an eheim wet and dry trickle filter which only puts out 550lph with its wave motion and an aps 200. I also have an eheim streamon 1800.
ive tried a full length spray bar on the aps filter but its doesnt push much water around when used like this.
ive gone for a washing machine type circular flow with the aps pushing water aling the back wall and the eheim and the streamon pushing water along the front.
My concern is co2 distribution being poor. The eheim can be capped so it runs as a regular filter if needs be and it will push 1000lph or so.
Ill be having an external pump to run a co2 reactor off of. Would it be best to run a full length spraybar low down in the tank for this?

How big is the tank? What's the dimensions?

The full length spraybar is pretty much the 'ideal' as it creates circular flow.

You might try a spraybar attached to a powerhead. That's frees the filter up to filter 🙂

Yes as James suggested, powerheads to a spraybar work well. In a large tank it's even best if you stick to the full length spraybar rule.
The APS filters do good flow if you reduce the spraybar to minimum length or do a custom spraybar. Because the connection is narrower than the hoses, the flow is reduced significantly compared to the flow without a spraybar.

Im thinking then that a 5000lph submersable pump with my aps 2000 should do the trick 🙂
The aps with a full length spraybar didnt have a lot of 'flow' to it but with the extra pump it will be good?
External 5000lph pump would mean I can run a reactorbwith it but at 130 watts or so theyvarent very efficient
