I've not got, and am not planning on getting a CO² system as things stand, but got some Colombo FloraGrow Carbo with a Superfish Scaper tank purchase. Problem I have is that it says do not use below 5°dH, and I'm listed as 2.49 by water supplier. I'm only stocking soft water, acidic loving fish it's not an issue for them, but I don't want to use something against manufacturers guidance. Anybody able to advise why the hardness plays a role? And it I have another alternative I could make use of

Cheers

I've no idea why it says that either but I wouldn't dose it on a regular basis as a Carbon supplement anyway, I'd put it to one side and use it to spot dose BBA should you ever encounter it.

It was more of a case of what do I do with this bottle of stuff tbh. I'll do as you say and leave it in the crate in case of BBA
