Hi guys, its a 45x30x30 cm tank.

Just wondering how deep should the rocks be under the substrate ? Should it be enough to prevent them from shifting.

Looks too symmetrical to me, I do like it when it fits into the Rule of Thirds. But its your call.

Get that main stone out of the dead center yeah IMO. Apply rule of the thirds.

Maybe work more from front to back with big stones at front and small in the back to create the illusion of depth.

You could use egg crates below the stones to keep them in place and save soil.

It could look different of course when planted but how about tilting the large stone slightly to look ,just my thought,more natural.

Good point, once planted I guess most of the hardscape will be covered up.

I like it. It's symmetrical but so what. You could add taller plants in one corner to overcome this.
