hello i have a 300 litre tank i am converting into a planted aquarium,i am currently using only a fluval 303 for filtration that was given to me by a freind.can anyone recomend an alternative external filter to give adequate filtration? maybe one that could work independantly in the event of the other filter breaking.prefferably one that dosent cost a small fortune? thanks Toby.

Hiya, i'd go for a Fluval FX5 for a tank of that size. A great filter, loads of media and cheap too!
