Filter help?!

So I have a 35L ScapeRs tank from dennerle

I have bought a 400LPH all pound solutions external filter, however the hose is 9mm-12mm

And everything I have is 12-16mm.

I have an aquamanta exf200 which is 850LPH

Question is if I pack it with filter wool to reduce the flow will it still be overkill?

Filter wool doesn't instantly kill the flow, it does happen fairly quickly though as it clogs easily... Mine goes around 2 months before needing to be replaced.

Your best bet would be to diffuse the flow with a spray bar, possibly the whole length of the tank. If the flow is still too much then you can make the holes in the spray bar larger.

Or you could buy hose adapters for the new filter.
