Just wanted some advice
So I started over with my 45 ADA p.
I have co2 injection, 6500k led light and have topped up the tropica soil as I wanted more height at the back.
I have gone for a Dutch style this try with plenty of plants.
My question is do I start dosing straight away or leave the tank settle for two weeks ?
George farmer writes in his book that he waits two weeks before dosing specialised nutrition but my situation is slightly different been that I have only topped the soil up and not started from scratch.
I am doing 50 % water changes daily.

Start straight away.

I start dosing EI in new tanks, in a dutch style i would even more so.

I am determined to make this one work, every planted tank I have had has failed due to Algae because I get lazy and don’t keep up with consistency around water changes and maintaining.
Lights on timer 8 hours
Co2 comes on 2 hours before lights and off 1 hour before lights out
Daily dosing
Water changes and regular trimming
Plenty of A shrimp
Temp 25c

Water changes are your friend, keep on top of maintenance and water changes and you can beat most problems with time.
