Female Guppy - 5mm white protrusion from body

Hi - I’m hoping someone can help me.

I have a female guppy that had a red sore on it’s shoulder that I’ve been monitoring. Yesterday this changed and looked like a small white bump. Today this has become a white protrusion of around 5 -7 mm in length which doesn’t appear to be moving.

Iv attached some poor photos but I hope they may help.

I’d be grateful for any advice on what this is, what I should do etc.

Hi Bradders - thank you for your reply.

I’ve taken a couple of videos but I don’t seem to be able to attach these so I’ll sort some file share links in the morning.

I’ve attached a couple of screen shoots from
the videos though I appreciate these don’t help much.

Some kind of parasite or anchor worm? Hard to say without a high res image.

I would say that the sore, the bump, and lastly, this protrusion has all the traits. It does look quite big, though.

I have not had nor treated anchor worm, and I can't say for sure that it is from the picture. If you decide on greater inspection/research, then copper medication is meant to kill the adults and a protracted period of mediation is required.
