Could someone in layman's terms explain how you work out how much Iron (fe) to dose, or point me in the direction of some calculators or reading? Please bare in mind I'm still a novice! Currently dosing TNC Complete to recommended dosage (theirs) but wanted to supplement the fe with some of their IronAT. Is this worth doing or am I being noob? This is in relation to another post about Amazon Swords looking poorly which maybe (or most likely) being caused by a solitary plec.

I'm probably over thinking this and TNC complete is most likely adequate as all other plants in the aquarium are thriving!

Sorry for partially reposting something I've already asked!

Your dosing TNC at a standard dose I assume so

I also assume your low tech eg no CO2.
Being a novice can mean your tank is below 100L
So easiest way to increase your Iron is just dose a little more TNC weekly.

Some folk do use TNC complete in High tech tanks with high light and they use a double Triple dose of TNC - yes six times the standard dose so your fine to dose a little more, say double normal dose for four/six weeks and see if there's an improvement.

A pic of the plant would help also, it could be your plec
