It's only a week until I move house and so I will at last be able to set up my 20 Gal 'scape.😀

Having been out of the hobby many years I have been amazed and delighted at new technology and innovations even though they seem to have reverted me to a novice again!!

I am going to try EI ferts (ordered the starter kit today from Aquarium Plant Food UK). My plan is to take the advice I have received on here and plant heavily from the off. Do I start EI dosing straight away or do the plants need to settle in a few days as I did in the 'old days'?
Thanks,
Harry.

I think I would begin fertilizing from the get go.
Leaves only light,CO2,to address if using CO2.

Yes I have pressurised CO2, Lighting has me a bit confused😕 !
My original plan was an open topped Optiwhite but 'er in doors' put a stop to that as she insisted the new decor would not be subject to the condensation of an open tank. I did argue but she won:shy:!

Ended up with a smart cabinet aquarium from my LFS. It's a Chinese made job but looks really nice. Problem is there is no spec., for the lights which are LED. All I could get was that they were the more modern type and people were growing plants under the lights quite successfully.
Got to admit they looked very bright when he switched them on for me but I don't know the wattage or Kelvin. I pick it up next week after I have moved house.

I will experiment and see where I go once I get the flow and CO2 sorted. I do have a Wavepoint LED unit bought from Aqua essentials so if the original lights don't cut it I could fix that in the hood in place of them.
