Hi all, I was doing a search of the old web and these came up on swell uk. I know it's not an ehiem, I was wondering if anyone has one has used one, would use one. as a lot of hydor inline heaters are failing including mine leaked and my filter is getting on an all in one solution I think is the way to go. So basically input and feed back welcome. Sorry I can't put a link up I'm useless but would be grateful to anyone who can. 😉 cheers kirk.

Kirk, I have the 511 with heater. Had about a year and quite like it.

It is quiet, and can sit beside the tank. Mine sits beside a 64l P@H tank and does a decent job. My tank is overly planted and has some 'big wood' and therefore the flow doesn't really work but that is my fault rather than the filters. I use it with the spray bar and apart from fairly regular maintenance it is a good price for keeping the heater out of the tank.

The heater itself I find slightly hard to read as the temp dial is at a funny angle, mine also seems to need to be set at say 26c to get a 24c reading 'in tank'. This may be quite normal though?

It comes with a fair bit of media etc (sponges and bio media), although what with housing the heater the media space is fairly tight.

I feel there is room for improvement with the heater, but for the cost and ability to reduce clutter in the tank it is a decent choice.

Thankyou jamie, and thankyou mark. Nice to see someone is using one and has positive things to say about them.

Dear Mark,
can you share a photo, and some experience about how easy the Eden 511 filter is to maintain, open/close etc. without getting the tabletop wet.
