Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well.

I started a new tank over 4 weeks ago and am using the dry start method. It is my first time doing this so I am even more newbie on stuff.

Currently, I am having algae issue and I think I might have made it worse by adding more water (I did this because I thought the reason why plants at the very back were melting was due to the fact the roots would have to 'dig' very deep to get to the water.IMG_7017.JPGIMG_7018.JPG

I have attached pictures - if anyone could help it would be amazing!

You have too much water for a dry start. Soil should be moist/wet, not under water. Remove as much water as you can then let your dry start continue. Alternatively you could flood your tank now.
Thank you for the help. I have taken as much water as I could - none can be visible at least - and cleaned the green from the glass. Hopefully it will be good for now 🙂
