Dosing EI salts direct

Hello All,
Regarding the method of adding EI salts direct, is there any direct advantage in doing this?
When people state you add 3/16 of a teaspoon for example, how do you get the exact measurement? Is it just a pinch etc

No they have small measuring spoons for 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16.
Measuring doesn't need to be exact but I find it easier to mix with water and dose as a liquid for smaller tanks. If my tank was much bigger i would dose dry salts

Well 3/16 isn't far off a 1/4 of a teaspoon so you could simply round up. Some people might use a heaped 3/16th some a level, some have 90L tanks some have 20G tanks. Some have 1" of substrate some have 2".

You can use a 500ml coke bottle and use multiple capfuls which are about 5ml each.

You can get the spoons from ebay "pinch dash smidgen" or from the sponsors.

You can get dosage bottles here or from ebay look up "Bettix" measuring bottles.
