As per the title, are shrimp and/or snails able to carry parasites from their source and transfer them into your tank upon introduction?

Specifically parasites that might be transferable to fish?

If so, should new shrimp and snails be held in a quarantine tank in the same way as new fish?

there are parasites that have a period of their life cycle in them yes, some are very complicated and go through a lot of hosts, some are more simple and only need one or two hosts in the chain,

Are most of the inverts in the trade farmed these days, as that would significantly reduce the chance of contamination, not Obs from things like shrimp white spot and other things that affect shrimp or snails,
