When I bought my tank second hand I received also a diy hanging kit. It are 3 aluminum bars together connected to the sides of the cabinet. It is pretty thin and I don't trust the capacity with my new light. When filming I also connect some extra leds above the tank so I need a construction that can carry like 10kg? Overdone but better safe than sorry. Any way to measure how thick my aluminum bars have to be to carry this?

Another option is a hanging kit from UNS or evolution aqua but they are pretty expensive IMO. I think it is much cheaper to make one self..

Look up the Aqua medic - Aquafit steel wire suspension kits. As far as i know they have 3 different types of suspension universaly applicable and pretty well priced. I used the Aquafit 2 to hang my acrylic diy light setup. Search on www.google.de it's a German product and cheaper available via German petstores e.g. Zooplus etc..
