Disaster!!!! #tag time for a recape

I was doing a water change last night and This happen!! Im so mad Oh well i learnt my lesson now. Lucky it a small tank and I can scape it without spending mega bucks.

From this to this



I pour the water in to fast and uproot this one area

The tank has been running for 4 an 1/2 months. It can't be fix as I had the substrate bank up high. I want to try a different carpet plant and have hc cuba in between rocks but not sure which plant?

Oooops, we've all done it......that's part the reason I pump my water in now rather that tipping my water via a 5 gallon drum.

I've done it that way for 4 months and never have a problem until I tried a different way its only a 20 litre tank. Any ideal on which carpet plant to try next?

Why not stick with the plant you have as you have it growing well! There's so much choice, I'm a big fan of four leaf clover.( marselia quadrifolia) < maybe spelt wrong.

If you do fancy a change, I could send you a few bits of the different carpet plants I have free, just send me a bit of yours😀. At the moment I have four different ones. it's hightech, but low ferts due to our little beauties ( shrimp)

Why not mix it up a bit? Some hairgrass and other short plants mixed in would add some nice additional texture, also the more robust roots of the grass would make the whole carpet less susceptible to accidents.

It would be a real shame to completely undo all the hard work you've put in so far. Looks a really nice little tank.
