This is a follow on from this thread http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=22109

I'm not going to explain everything in detail to you guys (I can't even bring myself to finish the blog post this tank was built for at the moment) so instead I'm just going to give you a load of pictures and let you work it out yourselves :)

Any questions please ask I'll try to answer all pictures are in timeline order so start to finish :)

Disclaimer: this blahblahblahblah wasn't designed to be a "professional" or amazing looking tank it was designed to be very very cheap yet still able to produce a semi interesting layout.

Just a little update.

The tank has been running a while now since the initial shots were taken its now gained CO2 injection and a T5 light as opposed to the t8 in the previous picture.

Experienced a little crypt melt but that was to be expected. Whats surprised me though is that the stems in the back left haven't really taken root / started growing much yet but in my cutting tank they take root in just about a day and within a week are touching the surface. No die back on any of them yet though so just guessing they're taking a while to adjust to the high nutrient environment.

tank hasn't been cleaned yet this week so excuse the crap building up on the leafs its from me having a mess about getting the HC into place and staying there.

Speaking of HC the stuff on the right that gets the daylight all day + light is growing quite well the stuff on the left which only really gets the tank lights after 4pm is melting a little. I'll be adding an external filter to the tank once the spraybar arrives so i'll be rotating the tank 45 degrees this should also help getting some extra daylight to the left hand side of the tank.

Once the externals up and running i'll be getting an inline heater and an inline diffuser as the atomiser on the right is ok and the co2 is getting all over the tank even with only the internal to move it around but I feel it could perhaps be better

2 month ish update
