As the title says anyone have experience with these aquariums? What's the build quality like?

Aquarium Gardens have an offer on these at the moment, they have had a 1500 and I believe a 1200 in their showroom in different guises for quite a few years now and they sell them so they can not be bad.
I have no firsthand experience though.

Same, seen them in Aquarium Gardens and they looked good, but no first hand experience. Isn't this the brand that used to be George Farmers until it was acquired? If so, my understanding is that the quality on the silicone work etc is more hit and miss than previously, I could be wrong though! I would imagine if purchased from Aquarium Gardens with their current discount, you'll get both a good deal and very good customer service if anything were to go wrong.

Hi @Fluxtor. I have the D-D Aqua Pro 1200. I don't have much experience of anything else, but I like it. The glass is heavy duty and appears well-sealed - mine appeared perfect and incredibly neat. The cabinet appears very sturdy etc. Feels like it will last a while - and it looks great. The aquarium dimensions are such that it is wider than it is tall - so just to bear in mind dependent on your plans. Came in very heavy duty packaging - I had a short-lived moment of regret when I saw the size. They come palletised and surrounding in MDF sheets, which weighed a tonne. As did the aquarium itself. All in all, I'd have no issue getting another if my wife were to authorise a second tank!

Thanks guys, just looking around at the moment as need to do some decorating and remodeling of our lounge before I'm (allowed) lol! I have an alcove that's 1110mm so too small for a 1200 so wanted the biggest I can fit in there without going custom. The Oase Scaperline 100 would be perfect but us a little pricey although I do appreciate the quality of Oase equipment. I've also looked at the Ehiem Clearscape, AquaOne Aquasys and various Fluval/Juwel tanks but can't make up my mind! I do really like the look of open top tanks with pendant lights but also like the idea of a lid for safety of the inhabitants!

So many to choose from!
