Hello,

Does anyone know how to trim Cyperus. Mine started to develop some roots from the surface parts. Should I cut them and re-plant?

I think you can.

Cyperus spp. can form new plants from adventitious buds in the leaf axils of a flower-head (below). It sounds like that has happened to your plant.
