Hi all, it is my first time using this plant and I have come up with some conflicting information regarding its requirements. My intention is to keep it in a low light tank with no co2 injection.

Will it survive without co2 enrichment?

Even if somebody tells you it is possible to grow it in these conditions it is a long shot. I came across conflicting information about several plants e.g Pogestemon erectus, Blyxa japonica.. Some people grow and show them lush and green in a low energy invironment and i failed miserably growing them like that. Don't ask me why, could be substrate type, water parameters i realy can't say.. Even fail to grow Limnophila hippuridoides which is listed at Tropica as an easy plant. And they all where submersed growen forms when i got them.

But never say never.. 🙂

Maybe these people don't tell the full truth and add Easycarbo or such.. When i did they grew, when i stoped they died. Then the cause is obvious.. Could be water parameters in my case because it is extremely low energy with a pH > 8 and medium kH has a very low co2 equilibrium..
