Hi all,
My son wants to set himself up my old 60lt tank as a guppy tank, it won't be planted to begin with but maybe in the future if he takes to it, I'm going to cycle the internal filter for it in my established 300lt tank over the next month till he is here next to set his one up, I just want to make sure this won't cause any issues in my established tank regarding water parameters, would it cause any kind of mini cycle? Any help much appreciated

You could always put a small amount of biological media from your established filter into the small internal filter to help it along.

I'll second that, anytime I've setup a new filter i've always taken some filter media from my old filter, then added a filter booster like Evolution Aqua Pure Aquarium Balls.
