Hope someone can give me some advise,
Planted my crypts (various types) about 5 weeks ago and they have grown well however some have started to show some pale / slightly see-through leaves.

Is this normal for these plants??

Many thanks

Pics could help a lot. However, iron deficiency seems to be prime suspect.

Please see pic of leaves in the middle
Hi, I would guess you have bought emersed plants that are transitioning so it is normal for old leaves to be melting.
Oh ok I have heard of this but glad to hear it's pretty normal, thanks for your help 👍

It looks similar to what happened to one of my crypts. The one I had was meant to be a brown leafed type but all the leaves were green. After a few weeks new growth came through brown & the plant gradually shed all the green leaves.
