Hi all,
I purchased a Tetra Aquaart 60L around 3 months ago from P@H.
Unfortunately it appears to be leaking already. I believe I've located a small crack on the back left underside next to the base rim. Although it's only leaking slightly it was enough to soak the left side of my stand before I noticed. P@H have kindly agreed to replace the tank (Tetra have offered no help so far).
However, I've decided to order a new higher quality tank as don't want the same issue occurring again. The plan is to order a NACD Optiwhite 45x45x45 cube as a replacement as I've heard and seen good things. Speaking to NACD and they have advised that the tank could take up to two weeks to arrive so I am looking for somewhere to place my livestock in the meantime.
The tank is stocked with roughly 20x Celestial Pearl Danio and around 10 Amano Shrimp and 10 Cherry Shrimp.
I have a tiny 20L 40x25x25 tank that I could place the livestock in for the meantime. I'm running a tetratec ex800 that I could move over and restrict the flow slightly, so filtration wise I should be ok. Would this be an adequate stopgap until my new tank arrives?
Also any advice on saving plants/moving setup/general leakage advice would be much appreciated. This is my first ever fish tank and I had been having some great success with plant growth so I am a bit devastated and also stressed at the sight of water spreading over my stand. Nonetheless, it could be worse!
Apologies for the long post and again any help for a novice would be greatly appreciated.
Best
Jack
