Hi,

I'm pondering what substrate to use in my new setup. I'm taking the remaining fish out of my corner tank, which include 10 pygmy cory and 4 others.

I'd like to use a nutrient rich substrate combined with a sandy front for snuffling, as I am going to go crypt heavy.

I'd like to hear peoples experiences with cories and the more expensive substrates like aquasoil, flora base etc, in regards to mixing, clouding, lightness of grain etc. To help me make my final choice.

Best Regards,
John

Hi John, I've used a fair amount of different substrates, the last being columbo flora base and I had no issues what so ever with clouding or it being moved about by all the corys I kept.

I like flora base. i was concerned it might be a little too light and they would move it about too easily, jumping any rock partitions i'd make.
