Do many people have problems with keeping tanks cool?
My new 20L nano tank (which I have used before without plants or light) for some shrimps) varies at 22-30 degrees. I can't alter the room temperature to help reduce the heat so to keep it at 22-24 I used to use a desk fan and cooling bottles (not easy to get gentle reductions). The hot summer just got our house temp so high that my shrimp cooked when I went on holiday. (The week we had the massive Heatwave!)
This summer I want to stabilise my tank without doing it manually. Tank fans only drop 2-4 degrees but I need a drop of 8 during summer.
Also, with a planted tank and lights - this could rise even quicker?
So I'm thinking of a cooler - but what to get for such a small tank? Or can you link to more than one tank with some systems? I know nothing about them and googling has only confused me with jargon!
Any ideas please?
Thanks
