Had a bit of an issue that is now (nearly) resolved. A couple of years back I obtained a CO2 bottle via Adams Gas after being assured that I could get refills locally. Unfortunately that turned out not to be the case any more and they wanted £36 (specialist courier) to just replace the bottle, no consideration given to the fact that they had lost the local agent!
Not being happy with the level of service I needed a new bottle supplier. Easier said than done living near Louth as I needed the short "pub" CO2 bottle to fit under my cabinet. I eventually tracked down Gas Direct based in Newark, a family run firm, that bent over backwards to help me out.
I had read here that Calor supply CO2. Calor did say that some agents do CO2 but not via their Calor franchise so it's luck of the draw on that one.
Anyway, I am more than happy with the help given by Kevin Hill at Gas Direct so if you are in the Newark-South Yorkshire-North Lincolnshire triangle and you need a bottled gas supplier please look them up on the web.
