Hi,

Anyone worked out how to remove the stubborn algae layer from ceramic diffuser plates?
It's kind of crept up on me and is now affecting bubble flow.

Many thanks,

Ben

... followed by a thorough rinse in a dechlorinator, obviously (for any newbies reading this!).

Does that actually clean the ceramic plate or does it just kill the algae? Will it unclog the 'pores'?

Thanks all

Wow - well that worked an absolute treat. Not only is it spankingly white again, its running like new.
FYI - 2hrs in 50:50 bleach:water bath. 1hr in high-strength dechlorinator bath.

Running like a dream. Thanks all. Happy days :)
