Hi, all.

Just had a question regarding the RGB Vivid Mini on a 60“ tank - I have mine suspended ~30cm above the tank. 60”L x 35”W x 38“T. Any input on intensity setting? Lots of stems, CO2, EI, etc, so just wondering if anyone has found a setting that works particularly well.

No idea about these lights but Tommy at Green Aqua as done a very comprehensive review of the full range pros and cons of Chihiros lights all the range on their YT channel if it's any help

I run mine at 100% 8 hrs that’s it.
But I can suggest a few setting I used over the last year or so.

I Like red highest or on par with blue. And green slightly lower.

On a large 1524mm x 889mm x 965mm deep tank depending on how many Vivid II Mini's you've got, I reckon you're going to have to run them close to full whack to get enough par at the substrate on a high tech tank.

Here I have a sky light 60 lamp, but I believe that vivid is more innovative for a plant aquarium. Therefore, I will buy another vivid mini lamp🙂Vivid has a better light spectrum for plants requiring a sun-red spectrum.274793688_1340540299729168_7156365001692575759_n.jpg

I’m talking centimeters, not inches! I wish I had the space for 152.4cm tank.

Hello,above this aquarium hangs a vivid mini,lots of plants pending cut settings-red 90 green 60 blue 50 percent.The aquarium is 60 litersView attachment 198704
Thank you for this! Beautiful tank, by the way. I’m currently at 60/30/45 R/G/B. I started off 40/20/30 and wasn’t bringing much color out. Since I’ve switched it increased a good bit. Good to know that I can push it a bit higher if need be.

Thank you so much - without having PAR values, either from Chihiros or via meter, I just wanted to see some practical experience. Did you progress up through those settings to get to the max, and if so, over what period of time?

Lol okay - just so you are aware, the double quote symbol " donates inches - a single apostrophe denotes feet - so 6' 4" is six feet four inches.
Jeez. For some reason, despite only using metric units since college, I never realized that those denotations only applied to ft/in. Apologies, please excuse my ignorance. HA. For some reason I assumed they applied to cm/m.
