cheep leds

You don't get cheap Cree LEDs, they are a premium product with top notch performance and lifetime. Cree also stands for Chinese R... E...E... something or other, so buyer beware.
 
Thanks for the reply, a local store here does the led floodlight lights so I might go with them. So do you reckon about 120w led would be considered high taking into account of the 70cm aquarium height? Or would 5x20w led floodlights do? I could run three off one timer and the other 2 off another.

120w could be quite high! It also really depends on the quality of the transformer etc.... without having the lights in my hands and going by wattage i would stick with the 5 twenty watts so that you can control the output if needed.
I have a very high end Cree light system 88w that I don't use its too strong.
